The direct nutrition store was started about three years ago due to popular demand from our patients. It was never our intention to sell supplements even though we recommend them as an important part of a health plan. Our patients continually asked to have something they could conveniently get here at the office instead of going to the nutrition store or ordering from the Internet. Many were also getting poor quality or very overpriced supplements. We were also being flooded with calls and questions about brands, dosages etc. because many stores didn't carry the right kinds or the right dosages.

From these problems and requests we started the store with a few basic goals in mind – we would carry what we thought were the best products for the best price. We researched the best nutracuetical companies and products extensively. We essentially did the shopping for our patients. This doesn't mean there aren't other good products out there, but when you're using Direct Nutrition supplements, we know exactly what you're getting and you know you're getting it for the best price we could find. Of course, you're free to do your own shopping and wade through the sea of supplements out there. Patients who have done this usually return to say they just spent a lot of time and went through a whole lot of hassle only to spend more money than they would have in the first place.

Another benefit we didn't anticipate was that because of our ability to purchase in bulk, we've been able to pass on even more savings to our patients. Most of the supplements you see in stores, etc. come from the same manufacturers anyway. You end up paying for their fancy labels and advertising.

We now offer a line of supplements based on the ones our patients use most. We find the best products, buy them in bulk, put a simple label on them and don't do any advertising thus drastically reducing the price to you. You'll see this difference in price if you take time to compare.
